Sundance Services and Treatments

Shockwave Therapy by STORZ Medical

Sundance is home to both Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT®) and Extracorporeal Shockwave Technology (ESWT®). Collectively referred to as Shockwave Therapy, both are innovative evidence-based technologies utilizing unique sets of advanced acoustic pressure waves used extensively around the world to stimulate tissue repair and regeneration. Focused Shockwave Therapy and Radial Shockwave Therapy are FDA cleared technologies and their benefits are often experienced soon after treatment begins.

The non-invasive, regenerative procedures represent a breakthrough treatment option for a broad range of difficult-to-treat musculoskeletal conditions such as Plantar Fasciitis, Calcified Tendonitis of Shoulder, Frozen Shoulder, Neuroma, Achilles Tendonitis, Tennis Elbow, Golfer’s Elbow and more.

By incorporating STORZ Medical products, technologies, and procedures into our practice, we are able to offer patients a non-surgical approach to restoring the body’s normal healing processes and regeneration. If you're looking for a proven solution to your chronic pain, Shockwave Therapy may be the answer you've been searching for. You can learn more about EPAT® Technology by visiting www.curamedix.com

Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy by STORZ Medical

Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT®), is the newest technology in office. With its safety and efficacy backed by extensive clinical studies, this FDA-approved device transmits high-energy magnetic pulses to painful areas of the body. Due to the high oscillation frequency, the device enables a high penetration depth and covers a large range of indications.

EMTT®, like Shockwave Therapy, is a non-invasive, evidence-based procedure developed specifically for degenerative joint disorders, acute and chronic pain, and sports injuries. The non-invasive approach is an appealing option for those who wish to return to normal activities within a few days. Clinical studies have shown EMTT® has an increase in efficacy when used in combination with both Focused and Radial Shockwave Therapy.

The technology has the same restrictions as the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine: patients who are pregnant, have metal implants, pacemakers and/or other sensitive electronic implants should not receive treatment. To learn more about EMTT®, please visit www.curamedix.com

Blood Flow Restriction Training

Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training is a technique which combines low-intensity exercise with blood flow occlusion. Occlusion in most this instance is reducing the amount of blood flow into an extremity by using a specially made medical tourniquet. BFR allows individuals to use low loads yet achieve results similar to high intensity training. This type of training is beneficial for older individuals, post-operative patients, or those rehabilitating an acute injury. For more information about BFR Training visit www.smarttoolsplus.com

Anodyne.png

Anodyne & Laser Therapy

Anodyne therapy is a modality that is used to temporarily improve circulation and reduce pain, stiffness and muscle spasm. For more information about Anodyne, visit www.anodynetherapy.com

Laser Therapy delivers energy and therapeutic light into damaged cells, so the process of repair and healing are greatly accelerated. Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) harnesses and magnifies energy from the invisible spectrum of light. The therapeutic laser gives these photons of light the ability to reach tissues up to 4 inches below the skin’s surface.

Approved by the FDA, laser Therapy has been in use for over 20 years around the world; hundreds of clinical studies and scientific papers have documented the effectiveness and safety.

Custom Orthotics by Footmaxx

Orthotics are shoes or insoles designed to allow the muscles, tendons and bones of the feet and lower legs to function at their highest potential. Orthotics can decrease pain, not only in your foot, but also in other parts of the body such as the knee, hip and lower back. They can also increase stability in an unstable joint and improve overall quality of life.

At Sundance Physical Therapy, we use the computerized Footmaxx system to analyze a patient’s gait and balance. Footmaxx uses innovative technology that allows us to obtain an accurate measurement of your foot and ankle. We can then use the same system to fit you for your orthotics. They can help to prevent sports injuries and improve your endurance, balance, and gait pattern. Diabetic orthotics and prescription orthotic sandals are also available. For further information, please see www.footmaxx.com
